Writer's WorkshopThis year we will be using Lucy Caulkins Unit of Study to help support your child's writing. We will be creating writing pieces that focus on narrative, opinion, informative and fictional writing.

MathOur math curriculum is called Bridges! Bridges focuses on meeting the math standards as well as making math fun and exciting for first graders. We will focus on addition and subtraction, place value, shapes and several other important concepts.

Science/Social Studies
Students will use inquiry and hands on-experiences to learn about various science and social studies topics. In Science our units focus on Water and Weather, Needs of Living Things, Light, Shadow and Color, and Animals. In Social Studies we learn about Communities, Then and Now, Needs and Wants, Presidents, and Landforms. |
CARE/PBIS
